Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pickles for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Set aside on paper towels.
- In the same pan, brown ground beef with onion if using. Drain excess grease.
- Return bacon to skillet and stir to combine with beef.
- Spread beef and bacon into baking dish. Sprinkle half the cheese over the top.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over meat.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until golden and set.
- Let cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with pickles if desired. Serve warm.

- For a family-friendly twist, top with tater tots during the last 20 minutes of baking.
