Description

This quick and healthy rainbow chard recipe is perfect for any night of the week. With just a few simple ingredients, it’s ready in under 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 3 bunches of rainbow chard, washed and trimmed
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Separate the stems and leaves of the chard. Slice both thinly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until garlic is fragrant.
  4. Add chard stems and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Add chard leaves, stir to coat, then cover and cook 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover, drizzle with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper.
  7. Stir and cook uncovered for 1 more minute. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute Swiss chard or kale if rainbow chard isn’t available.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently before serving.
